So, I'm only just now reading this because I've got my own Adam/Kris/Katy that I'm working on and am careful about keeping my headspace clear for my characters. But then I succumbed.
And OMFG girl! This is GORGEOUS and HOT and BEAUTIFUL. I didn't really expect you to cross over into any real D/s action (and of course this is totally easing Kris in) and I LOVE IT. Your character dynamic is so unique with them, two tops and a bottom really shouldn't work, and I think it's awesome how they had a communication issue and had to fumble around a bit as a result, but wound up resolving it beautifully.
To think, just last night I was reflecting on Adam-as-Dom and if he could really pull it off consistently. Because as toppy as he is, he's also so much of a caretaker - a combination I ADORE, but I wonder if there would be times when the reluctance to harm could override the need of a scene? If he would be willing to actively punish (by more than withholding something) if his sub got out of line?
Anyway, those are general thoughts, not related to the story; I friggin' loved your Dom!Adam here. (because I think a good Dom *should* be a good caretaker, and I love the hurt/comfort element of a good D/s scene.)
I also love Kris' fears about what happens when tour is over. Because he's right - that's when fantasyland ends, that's when the real world pulls them apart, that's when you have to start thinking about the future and everything that's really involved with keeping this threesome together. There's lots of scary shit out there (I know, I'm pondering it all for my story) and I hope you continue exploring it.
