Oooh, a response! :D Thanks for replying, even so much later!
And I KNOW EXACTLY WHAT YOU MEAN. Re: in-sustainability and closets and poly etc. I'm not writing D/s, but I'm writing all those other issues, and fuck it's hard. Like you, I'm a romantic, and I want them to work, but there are so many inherent issues it's almost impossible. But I just keep plugging away with the characters, hoping that in the end they'll figure out a way. However, I just don't know - it's HARD, and in the end, I'm going to write what the characters tell me, even if that's separating.
But anyway, that's my journey with these three. One of the things that motivated me to write it was the fact that no A/K/K story I'd seen (at the time, at least) had really taken them beyond the initial coming together; had delved into the issues of a poly relationship in the long term, especially with circumstances like theirs. The idea fascinates me, and this is the main reason why I'd love to see you continue this series - I want to see how YOUR characters deal with these things. As mentioned, I particularly enjoy the added dynamic of D/s (though I can't imagine how impossibly complicated that makes things for you!).
I know I'll always be on the lookout for the third story - every now and then I check your journal just to make sure I didn't miss something. :) I'm even more excited about the prospect given the things you said here - even such things as working out communication issues can be terribly intimate, and the three of them will have to all work very hard if they want to keep this together. Having all three of them committed to that common purpose is also incredibly intimate. So I hope to see some of that if/when you write this.
This may not be a good idea, given headspace and all that, but if you'd like to bounce ideas around or discuss the characters, I'd love to do that with you. I see our characters as very different from each other with different dynamics, but I think we both approach them with the same understanding and spirit, so if you think that would be helpful then consider me available. :) If not, for whatever reason, no worries.
