This was ridiculously fucking hot (I love mindmeldy sex), but I think the most impressive thing for me is that the characterization is fantastic, and you got me into it. See, because ... sure, the movie is all about their love, but part of me kept resisting it the whole way through, because it was hard for me to see what on earth Erik saw in Charles. You've helped! (All while keeping Charles recognizably Charles: so completely sure of himself, of his shiny, broad vision that fails to really take into account the feelings and needs of the individual people involved ... a guy who can go into someone's mind, feel pain and rage of that magnitude, and think he can wipe it away single-handedly and in one sitting. He cares, and he's earnest, but he's arrogant and takes shortcuts and ... um, I have a lot of thoughts.)
I think my favorite part of the story was when Erik caught on to Charles "cheating" with his sexual technique, and Charles' guilty, nervous reaction. (Erik "getting his own back" in a sense, briefly, was satisfying.) Perfect! Also, the creepyness of the ending.
